Project Name:  Improvement of National Road No.9 as East-West Economic Corridor of the Mekong Region 

Project Narrative

National Road No. 9 is an international trunk road that forms an integral part of the “East-West Corridor” that traverses Indochina. This project aims to restore damaged areas and overlay certain sections of the road to promote the mobility of people and the exchange of commodities in the region. In this regard, the project is expected to contribute greatly to boosting the local economy, particularly in the central and southern parts of the Lao PDR.
