Vientiane is major city of Lao PDR, the project make Smart City Master plan and Action Program for realising smart city in Vientiane Capital City, and this study targets various fields that can improve the Quality of Life of citizens and improve efficiency of governmental operation.

Implementation, interview survey for Vientiane needs of smart city development.
(1) Survey 1: Data Collection and Summarization
– To collect information on current trends and situation on urban development/Smart City development in Vientiane Capital City
– To collect data on related law, policy and plans with Smart City development in Vientiane Capital City
– To summarize collected information

(2) Survey 2: Coordination with stakeholders
– To coordinate Laotian stakeholders
– To support arrangement of meetings with Laotian stakeholders

(3) Survey 3: Conducting on-site hearings and summarization
– To support distribute/collect questionnaires to/from Laotian stakeholders
– To conduct interview survey with Laotian stakeholders according to interview sheet provided by the Consultant
– To make and summarize interview memo

(4) Survey 4:
Meeting coordination and interpretation
– To interpret meetings among Laotian stakeholders, MLIT and the Consultant
– To translate Japanese and English materials to Laotian
– To translate Laotian document to Japanese or English

(5) Survey 5: Assistance for holding local seminars
– To support arrangement of seminars/webinar in Vientiane
