Project Name: Socio-Economic and Trip Generation Survey for The Data Collection Survey on Economic Development in Southern Region in Lao PDR
Project Narrative
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is carrying out “The Data Collection Survey on Economic Development in the Southern Region in Lao PDR” to update current socio-economic condition of southern provinces (Savannakhet, Saravane, Sekong, champasak and Attapue) of Lao PDR, and to identify issues, directions and candidates of key projects to promote economic development of the region.
In this regard, JICA expects to identify effects of the road and bridge projects, on economic development and social development qualitatively. JICA also intends to collect information on the current situation and maintenance of rural road and bridge, in order to identify potentials and constraints of improvement of road network, combination of a trunk road and feeder road.
